Our partnership with Palmer College of Chiropractic provides you with an opportunity to obtain both a bachelor's degree in 生物学 or sport and exercise science from WLC and a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from Palmer in six and one-third years.
This partnership provides a direct route for you to gain admission to Palmer (more than one-third of practicing chiropractors are Palmer alumni) and efficiently complete your D.C. degree, one year earlier than typical, saving you tuition expenses and allowing you to enter the workforce with an advanced degree and begin earning income sooner.
You'll complete three years of coursework at WLC - or four, if you prefer - graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in either 生物学 or sport and exercise science, then transition to Palmer for your final three and one-third years.
This accelerated program is designed for students who want to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine.
Chiropractors (Doctors of Chiropractic Medicine) manage patients’ health concerns such as neck or back pain using spinal adjustments and manipulation. Chiropractors typically possess a four-year undergraduate degree in 生物学, sport and exercise science, or a related discipline, as well as three to four years of professional school. Some chiropractors specialize in areas such as rehabilitation, nutrition, or sports medicine. Patients may also seek the expertise of a chiropractor for preventative care, or issues related to accidents, sports injuries, or heredity. An estimated 50 million Americans see a chiropractor each year.
